God intervenes in many ways to his people and who aren’t. In the last chapter we discovered the preparation being underwent by Daniel and his friends and God magnifying them. In this chapter we will see how God reveals secrets. One night during king Nebuchadnezzar’s sleep, he was disturbed by the dream he dreamt. This was not an ordinary dream. The crux of this incident is that the king could not recollect the dream. The code to remember this chapter is ‘!Secret’ (No Secret), means to the man of God, there isn’t a secret as God reveals.

Here you would discover how God connects to Nebuchadnezzar through Daniel, never letting his people down wherever they are. This wonderful opportunity had the class set apart for Daniel and his friends. In the dream, king Nebuchadnezzar saw a statue of man, huge in size; strangely of different materials. A stone hits the foot and the statue broke into pieces and disappeared. The stone then grew to a mountain. This dream could not be remembered by the king. King had a department of wise men, whom he forced to reveal the same dream, for he had also trust in them. But they answered “It is the rare thing that the king requested and there is none other can tell it to the king except the gods, whose dwelling is not with flesh”. For this cause the king was angry and very furious and commanded to destroy all the wise men of Babylon, this includes Daniel and his friends cause they are being trained in this department. (Daniel 2:11, 12)
This was Daniel’s second year, the duration of the course was three years. While captain of king’s guard approached to kill them. Daniel boldly said that he would show the king the dream and its interpretation, gaining time. He said to his friends the situation and they all prayed for he had his belief unto the God, for wisdom and might belong to Him, times and the seasons belong to Him. He reveals the deep and secret things and there is light in Him. (Daniel 2:14-22)
That night God revealed the dream to Daniel. He had the same dream which the king dreamt; also the revelation of the same was made known to him, He approached the captain of the guards next day, declaring he is ready to speak; thus saving all wise men of Babylon. Daniel praised God in the first place neither the course nor his gift as he spoke to the king. The secret which the king has demanded, the wise men, the astrologers, the magicians, and the soothsayers cannot declare to the king. But there is a God in heaven who reveals secrets, and He has made known to King Nebuchadnezzar what will be in the latter days. You, O king, were watching an awesome image, whose head was of fine gold, chest and arms of silver, belly and thighs of bronze, legs of iron, feet partly of iron and clay. (Daniel 2:24, 27, 28, 31-33)
God of heaven hath given thee a kingdom, power, strength and glory and made you ruler over all; you are the head of gold. After you another kingdom shall come, which is inferior to yours; the silver part, The Medo-Persian empire. The third is the Grecia empire; kingdom of brass. The iron kingdom, the Roman empire. The final foot of clay and iron mix would be partly strong and partly week… (Daniel 2:37-43)
The stone turning to mountain is the kingdom set up by God of heaven; which shall never be destroyed. This kingdom will consume all other kingdoms and will stand for ever. King Nebuchadnezzar having heard; worshiped Daniel and commanded all that were promised, made him great, making him ruler over the whole province of Babylon and chief of governors over all wise men of Babylon. King also said “Your God is God of gods, and a Lord of kings, and a revealer of secrets, since you could reveal this secret”. (Daniel 2:44, 46-48)
All these kingdom have come to pass and we have learnt as history that which was in a revelation dream. The final kingdom is also prophesied by Isaiah as lovely as possible. “For unto us a child is born, unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon is shoulder. And his name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” (Isaiah 9:6, 7)
When Jesus lived, He revealed secrets. He met Samaritan woman at the well, revealed her secret, also promised to give living water. He also revealed yet another secret that ‘He is the Messiah’, this turned up the city towards God. May your life and lives around you be turned unto christ as God’s plan. So that we unite to be part of God’s kingdom as the stone turned to mountain being the light for the revelation of God’s kingdom. Jesus said whosoever drinks the water that I give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life”.(John 4:10-30)
